I feel the need to post here because my game went from unplayable to addictively fun in no time. Oh, I think I understand the question now. It's my understanding that adjusting your video settings so that the game doesn't drop below 40 fps isn't necessarily changing a file or setting in your video card control panel. It's more changing the settings on your game so that your machine can run it without lagging too much. You might just have to drop settings down to low and take a few things off. From what I've read, we have pretty similar specs, I run mine on 'low' settings without antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, any of the 'reflects', no decal quantity, low radial blur and shadow quality, and no FXAA. The game really looks fine and runs fine. You might be able to mix and match your settings though, mine is just bare minimum.

FPS Limiter - Cap your framerate for any DirectX 8/9 or OpenGL game. Step 8 - When you're ready to play, double click on that.bat file. If you wish to make a shortcut, right click on the.bat file and select 'Create Shortcut'. You can change the name of the shortcut ONLY, do not change the name of the.bat file.

Skyrim Limit Fps To 60

Just wanted to know how to limit the FPS in Skyrim. The reason I want to cap the FPS in the first place is because of the sharp contrast that literally hurts my eyes. For instance when inside some house or other closed environment the game runs at stable 50-55 FPS, when I go to an open space however it instantly drops to 30-35. Some people might enjoy running FPS as high as possible, but I would just like my game to run stable all the time.Changing screen refresh rate didn't work (60 Hz is only option)Skyrim FPS limiter also didn't work. It locked my game to 5,7 FPS instead of 30, so kinda dumped that.At this point I'm out of ideas.

Is there any way to LOCK (not reduce) FPS to thirty, or should I just buy an XBox? Install a crazy amount of graphic mods from the workshop until it caps out around 30.

ENB series mods + some graphical collections should help. I'm running about 14 graphic mods right now which brought my average FPS down from 120 to 30-40 fps, on a GTX580. It wont be a steady 30 but i dont believe there is any way to cap your FPS other then at the refresh rate of 60 or 120.My graphics adapter is pretty weak.

How

An Nvidia GT 630M 2 GB, so if I installed a bunch of graphics mods they would just drop my average FPS, but not reduce the gap between the indoors and outdoors framerates. Is it really so hard for developers to put that little option in the menu They sure can lock framerates on consoles.
